Valle Isarco

If you are drawn to the north, the Valle Isarco offers unforgettable hiking opportunities. Our first tip would be the hike from Barbiano to Bad Dreikirchen. This tour offers fabulous views towards the Dolomites and the Barbiano waterfalls are always an experience. The hike ends at the three churches, an ancient pagan place of worship.

In autumn, the Chestnut Trail, which is best started from Velturno, is particularly recommended. If you like it sporty, you can take the path to Renon or simply continue hiking to one of the many Törggele restaurants. You can also find our tips in our restaurant guide!

One of the most striking places is the Val di Funes, known for the Odle peaks. A hike here is highly recommended, but you should start very early to avoid the rush of visitors. If you like it a little more lonely, you can continue straight to the Passo delle Erbe and from there you can go around or climb the Sasso Putia, one of the most striking mountains in South Tyrol.
